Neiman Marcus Chocolate Chip Cookie
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons white sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons instant espresso coffee powder
- 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Direction
- Preheat your oven to 190°
C/375°
F. Prepare a cookie sheet with a coating of grease.
- Cream white sugar, brown sugar, and butter together in a medium bowl until smooth. Add vanilla and egg and beat together. Sift espresso powder, salt, baking powder, baking soda, and flour together, then stir the powder mixture into the creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
- Drop large tablespoonfuls of dough on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 1/2 to 2 inches apart. There should be around 12 to 15 large cookies.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes; an additional of 2 minutes for crispier cookies.
- Transfer cookies to wire racks to cool.
