Surprise Meringues
Ingredients
- 2 egg whites
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
Direction
- Set oven to preheat at 300°
F (150°
C). Use parchment paper to line baking sheets.
- Beat together the vanilla, sugar, cream of tartar, salt and egg whites till the meringue stiffens up.
- Fold the chocolate chips into the mixture.
- Put 1 teaspoonful of meringue onto the lined cookie sheets. Bake for 25 minutes at 300°
F (150°
C).
