Liu Xiao (刘啸) is a programmer, science fiction fan, and member of the China Science Writers Association. He has won the Light Year, Future Sci-Fi Master, Len Hu and Dun Huang Awards for his stories and currently lives in Shanghai, China.
Yang Wanqing (杨晚晴) is a science fiction author. He has won many awards, including the Galaxy Award for Chinese Science Fiction, and his works have been selected as among the Best Science Fiction Works in China many times. His short story collections include The Returned Man and Double Helix.
Hui Hu (灰狐) is a retired military official and science fiction writer. His novel Solid Ocean won the Gold Award at the 10th Chinese Science Fiction Nebula Award. He has written more than 1.8 million words of science fiction.
Congyun (a.k.a Mu Ming) Gu (慕明) is a Chinese speculative fiction writer and a programmer from Beijing, currently living in New York, US. She was born in 1988 in Chengdu, China, and has published short stories and novellas in Chinese since 2016. Her stories can be found in Science Fiction World, Non-Exist Daily, Flower City, Chinese Literature Selection, and various writing contests and anthologies.
She has won multiple awards since 2017, including three Douban Read’s Novella Writing Contest Awards, Masters of Future SF Writing Contest, the Best Short Story at the 31st Galaxy Awards, and the Best New Writer Award in the 11th Global Chinese Sci-Fi Nebula Award. Her first collection, Colora il Mondo, was published in January 2021 in Italian and will be followed by her first Chinese collection, The Serpentine Band, in 2022 Fall. Her website is metamin.me.
Liang Qingsan (梁清散) is a science fiction writer, researcher, and multiple winner of the Chinese Nebula Awards, including the Gold Award for Best Short Story. His academic paper, “The Edition Research on Wu Jianren’s ’New Story of the Stone’”, was published in Japanese in Fiction Since the Late Qing. He has published several novels including Silent Winged Wheel, The New New News: Dark Shadow of the Magic City, Shanghai Girls in the Kitchen, The New News: Rise of Machinery, and Literary Girl Detective.
Shi Heiyao (石黑曜) was born in 1990 in Qingdao and graduated from Beijing Normal University with a master’s degree in children’s literature. He won the first prize in the fantasy category of the 5th Douban Read Writing Contest, first prize in the 6th Future Science Fiction Master Award, and a silver award as “Rising Star of the Year” in the 10th Xingyun Awards for Chinese Science Fiction (a.k.a. Chinese Nebulas.) His books include Lilia, My Star (short story collection), Exotic Surprise (young adult science fiction adventure novel), and The Wandering Earth: To the Dungeon (an adaptation picture book).
Liao Shubo (廖舒波) has won the Galaxy Award for Science Fiction and the Starfire Award for detective fiction, and has published more than three million words. She is currently writing science fiction and thriller stories set in the Tang Dynasty.
