Don’t Get Injured

Avoiding injury is crucial for all runners seek consistency, but it’s mandatory for older runners. Slower recovery time with age means that an Achilles flare-up that might have been a 48-hour affair in your twenties now drags on for weeks. And if you have to miss some days of running, the return is much harder for a fifty-year-old than someone half her age. You simply can’t afford to lose time to injury when one of the main aims of your running is to ward off the effects of time.
