72. Adolf Hitler’s country house Wachenfeld seen from Alpine Hotel Türken.
Here we view Haus Wachenfeld and the outstretched valley below from the now extended terrace at Hotel zum Türken; again this image clearly demonstrates the close proximity of the two properties. In the end Hitler became irritated by the constant public attention he received from the hotel terrace due to its position. This led to ill feeling between the Führer and the Schuster family who owned the hotel, culminating in the property being confiscated in 1933.
