Sequence of meridian flow and co-relating to the flying star sequence
The topic in TCM that interest me is flow of energy through our body. As I easily feel tired, I attend the basic course on Reiki. This subject focus on using energy to heal. I was amazed when the trainer scan my body and was able to point to the part in my body that I felt discomfort at that time. I could also feel energy flow in my body when my classmate practice Reiki healing on me.
There was once when after picking up the basic skill, I used my hand to transfer energy to a lady who is suffering from stiff neck. She felt good during the process. What I did not expect was when she told me when I met her again that on the same night after I performed healing on her, she slept very well.
A car need electrical energy in order to start the engine. This energy is provided by the battery. When the battery of the car weakens, it would be difficult to start the engine. Similarly, the human body requires energy for their daily activities. For instance, when we are exercising, our blood sugar would be converted to energy in the presence of oxygen through a process called aerobic glycolysis.
These energy flows through a pathway/channels known as meridian in our body. Chinese physician will apply the knowledge of meridian points in acupuncture on their patient. Sometimes they would apply mild electric charge to speed up the movement of energy along the pathways. Soviet doctors had reported that their experiment shows the existence of meridians and energy points at precisely where the Chinese had known for centuries.
Ancient Chinese observed that certain meridian relating to specific organs are activated at certain time. (Please refer to the chart in the next page for the time of activation of meridian.)
Applying this knowledge in iridology, we can determine the cause of dis-ease as well as advice to our patient for remedial action.
