Verse 30

Jesus said, “Where there are three gods, they are gods. Where there are two or one, I am with him.“

If you walk in holiness, then you abide in holiness. If you walk with the Lord, then the Lord is with you. Wherever you go, that place is holy and the Lord is always with you. You are never alone. The holy Shekinah is your constant companion and the Word of the Lord indwells you. How beautiful is the covenant of those who worship God in Spirit and Truth! It is a covenant of the living presence.

If the Divine presence and power is present with one, how much more is the Divine power present when two or more are gathered together in the name of the Holy One? Two form the Pillars of Initiation; three form the Triangle of Manifestation or Evocation; four form the Foundation of the Temple of Light; five form the Fruit of the Holy Rites; six form the Image of Beauty; seven form the Dominion and Image of Perfection; eight form the Secret Covenant of a New Heaven and New Earth; nine form the Gate of the Mystery; and ten form the Mystical Body of the Holy One in Completion—the image of the Lord. Eleven is a number to remain in Dumah (silence), and twelve holds the Mystery of the Sacred Circle. Thirteen forms the Matrix of the Holy Tzaddik through which the Divine fullness is manifest. The ideal number is ten, not nine and not eleven, but one and zero. Let those who understand gather and bring forth the Divine powers of the mystical body in full!

It is good that the solitary and elect should gather together, united as a single body with one mind and heart, knit together in the bonds of love, and engaged in holy discourse, sacred ceremony, mystical prayer, and meditation, for being so united and acting together, they are a greater force for the Lord and are an extension of Light in the world. When a certain number of righteous persons act together in faith and gnosis, whatever they envision and speak will come to pass (Vehayah). Yet, when they gather together, the power of the assembly of the elect lies in the continuum of spiritual practice and spiritual living of each individual member of the mystical body. Only when each member of the body performs his or her sacred duty and function is the body strong and healthy, and capable of performing the divine labor for which it is intended. If one member of the body does not perform his or her sacred duty, the body is drained of strength and weakened, and part of the divine labor will surely remain incomplete. What is the fullness and wholeness of the mystical body formed by the solitary and elect? I tell you, it is the soul of the Messiah.

Wherever one is established in the name of the Holy One, the Spirit of the Messiah is present in that one. Where there are two or more, a greater portion of the Holy Spirit is present and manifest in that sacred space. Where there are ten, the flow of the Divine powers is manifest in full. Where there are twelve, the Divine presence and power of the holy tzaddik is completely embodied in the material world and, thus, something of the soul of the Messiah is brought upon the earth.

Now, there is a secret continuum of the Light-transmission upon the earth: ten tzaddikim of the Old Covenant and twelve apostles of the New Covenant, thus, twenty-two holy ones who maintain the embodiment of the Word of the Lord upon the earth. It is said that, if ever there are fewer than twenty-two holy ones living upon the earth, the world will fall into great darkness and horror. If there are ever fewer than ten righteous ones, then humanity will cease to exist upon the earth. Hence, this secret continuum is the source of blessings and the sustenance of life on earth. Those who tend the holy continuum are the spiritual guardians and guides of humanity.

While we might speak of this inner and secret heart of the holy continuum of the Light-transmission, there are, indeed, many other holy ones laboring in the great work. There are, for example, the secret Lamed-Vau Tzaddikim, the thirty-six holy ones who constantly labor for the sake of divine justice and tikkune. Likewise, there are many adepts and masters who labor in secret in every generation to uplift humanity Godward. The spiritual practices and spiritual living of the faithful empower the holy ones in their mission and keep the precious balance of spiritual forces that allow the holy ones to continue to incarnate in the world and so maintain the continuum of the Light-transmission in humanity.

What is the continuum of the Light-transmission? It is the living presence of God. God has a body and life in the world when you give God your life and body. God has hands through your hands, feet through your feet, eyes through your eyes, ears through your ears, a tangible appearance and voice through your appearance and voice. Inviting the Spirit of the Lord into yourself and giving yourself to the holy Shekinah, walking in holiness, you bring forth the living presence of God into the world. The Lord God enters the material world through those who embody something of the Spirit of God. It is for this that we were created and this is the ultimate mission of every human soul in life.
