Verse 70

Jesus said, “That which you have will save you if you bring it forth from yourselves. That which you do not have within you will [kill] you if you do not have it within you.”

Listen and hear what the Master is saying. It is not something outside of yourself that will save you, but it is what is within you that will deliver you. Although, indeed, the Lord our God is above and beyond you, at the same time the Holy One of Being is within you. The Spirit of the Lord indwells you. The presence of God dwells in the inmost part of your soul and is your very own true self. Look and see your soul within you; look yet deeper into the inmost part of your soul, and there you will find the Holy One, the Spirit of the Messiah, our Lord and Savior.

What is the holy blood of the Lamb that redeems us? It is the essence of the Spirit of the Messiah that the perfect Master has poured out upon us. Whoever drinks of these living waters shall thirst no more, for these waters shall spring forth from within the deepest part of the soul, quenching the thirst, not only of oneself, but other souls also.

What is the holy body of Christ of which we partake and eat? It is the presence of the soul of the Messiah that Lord Yeshua has imparted to us. This holy presence comes from above and, descending upon us from above, shall also ascend and return to its place at the right hand of the Father and take us up into repose in the abode of Supernal Light.

When you partake of the Holy Eucharist, have you received something from outside of yourself? Not really. The Holy Eucharist is an invocation and remembrance of who and what you are in your inmost being and a drawing out of the Divine presence and power of that Holy One. It is a matter of the education of the soul, a drawing out of what is already within you. The activity of the holy rite of Eucharist itself is the manifestation of the Christ-self coming forward, as is every mode of spiritual practice and spiritual living we entertain, so that the holy activity is the blessing itself. The practice of the Way, Truth, and Light is the enlightenment experience, and those who live the Divine Life of Christ, with faith and trust in the Word of the Lord, are already liberated. It is all about drawing out what is within you and letting your light shine to illuminate yourself and the world around you.

Now you must understand that there are three distinct levels or aspects of the soul. They are Neshamah (the heavenly or inmost soul), Ruach (the human spirit and intelligence), and the Nefesh (the vital or earthly soul). When a person actively lives according to the righteousness of his or her inner self, following in the way of Christ and living according to good conscience and what is right in the sight of the Lord, his or her Nefesh and Ruach naturally and spontaneously receives the influence of their Neshamah—the spiritual nature of the heavenly soul. Of the person who sanctifies him or herself in this way, it can be said that it is what is within them, namely the living soul or spiritual nature, that will save the person. Conversely, when a person lives in ways of ignorance and wickedness, not heeding good conscience nor following in the Way of the Lord, in effect, he or she is cut off from the Neshamah and another spirit takes possession of that person, an unclean spirit of destruction and death. Of such a child of Darkness, it is rightly said that it is what one does not have within oneself that will lead to one’s destruction and death.

Neshamah literally means “living soul” or “living breath.” You will recall the first initiation the risen Messiah imparted to the disciples in their ordination as apostles of Christ. In that initiation, the Lord breathed upon them and they received the Holy Spirit and they received their Neshamah in full. Only when they received, integrated, and embodied their living soul could they then receive the baptism of the holy fire. This baptism of Pentecost is an influx of supernal holiness, the descent of the Shekinah from above, which is the true dawn of Christ-consciousness. Reception of Neshamah and descent of the holy Shekinah from the upper world form the holy rite of the bridal chamber, or the Light-transmission of the apostolic succession.

Now all of this is within you, waiting to be drawn out and lived, and living the Spirit and Truth, you shall possess your life in the Lord and therefore have life eternal in the Spirit of the Lord. Blessed are they who live the Divine Life and cleave unto the Lord, for they are alive this day and shall never die! Praise the Lord!
