BLUEBERRY BOURBON

Blueberries and bourbon … who would have thought? This infusion makes a surprisingly good Manhattan or Mint Julep on a warm summer’s eve. Many find it appealing over ice cream as well.

1 liter (34 oz.) bourbon

1 cup blueberries

1. Wash blueberries.

2. Place blueberries in bottom of infusion jar.

3. Slightly muddle blueberries—break them slightly open, but leave them whole.

4. Add bourbon and seal the jar.

5. Let infuse for 2–5 days out of direct sunlight, tasting and gently shaking daily.

6. Strain the bourbon into a clean bottle and cap.
