This book only exists because of the many incredible teens who submitted reflections on their experiences of mission. We are humbled to have received and read so many inspiring witnesses to God’s call for young people today. Unfortunately, we were not able to use all of the submissions sent to us; but, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to each person who contributed.
We are especially thankful for the teachers, youth group leaders, and others involved in teen ministry who are serving the amazing teens in their lives and who helped us by collecting these reflections: Wayne Burbach (St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Maryland), Amy Chapman (St. Ignatius Parish, Massachusetts), Jaclyn Torres (Junipero Serra High School, California), Jeff Finnegan (Bl. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Missouri), Bill Gavin (Holy Trinity Parish, Virginia), Ignitum Today (ignitumtoday.com), Jeff Kacala (St. Katharine Drexel Parish, Wisconsin), Mike Kilgannon (Holy Name Parish, Massachusetts), John Paul Manning (St. Mary of the Assumption Parish, Massachusetts), Chris McCormick (St. Teresa Parish, Florida), The Office of St. Louis Youth Ministry, Radiant magazine (be-radiant.com), Sandy Reynolds (Kennedy Catholic, Missouri), Rob Ryan (Ascension Parish, Missouri), Emily Shull (All Saints Parish, Missouri), Julia Strukely (Bishop Ireton High School, Virginia), Kate Sweeney (Regis Jesuit High School, Illinois), Jennessa Terracino (former youth minister, Virginia), Chris Turner (Life Teen, lifeteen. com), Julie Anne Walker and Margie Weir (Holy Name of Jesus Parish, Florida), Lindsey Webb (St. Catherine of Siena Parish, Massachusetts), Father Tom Yehl (Seton School, Virginia).
For assisting with the writing of reflection questions, we would also like to express our appreciation for the young women of the Pauline Discipleship program: Karen Barnett, Michelle Chandy, Joanna Corea, Amanda Detry, Melissa Fisackerly, Janet Gonzalez, and Paulina Pesqueira.
And, of course, our sincerest thanks to all the teens who shared their reflections.
