Marie Myung-Ok Lee is a second-generation Korean American who was born and raised in Hibbing, Minnesota. Her books for children and young adults include F Is for Fabuloso, If It Hadn’t Been for Yoon Jun, Necessary Roughness, and Night of the Chupacabras. A Fulbright Fellow to Korea, she has taught writing at Yale, Brown, and Columbia Universities, and her work has appeared in the New York Times, the Kenyon Review, The Paris Review, and many anthologies. Ms. Lee is a cofounder of the Asian American Writers’ Workshop and is the author of The Evening Hero, a novel for adults.
