Stagnation

‘Nothing happens, nobody comes, nobody goes, it’s awful.’

Samuel Beckett, Waiting for Godot

The situation has reached stalemate. Too many obstacles stand in the way of further progress. Your best efforts to try and resolve matters meet with failure. It seems as though you are dogged by bad luck. Do not expect help from people who are in fact incapable of supporting you. Those who do not share your values will not be interested in your current predicament; they have their own agendas. Your views will be neither accepted nor understood. Even in hitherto good relationships, communication may now be problematic. Misunderstandings easily occur. The best course of action would be to distance yourself from the situation for the time being. Do not even try to force further developments. Be patient. In due course better times will come. In the meantime do not lose faith in yourself.

An opportunity for personal growth

However trying the situation, do not lower your standards. Stand up for what you believe to be right. Do not get involved in any situation which would mean compromising yourself. A tempting offer could, on the face of it, promise an easy way out. But do not be persuaded into making a move at this time. If enticing rewards are offered, they may well have strings attached. In the long run, the cost to your self-respect would be too high. Accept that you must rely on your own resources. The strength you gain from having to do so will stand you in good stead in the future. You could benefit from spending some time alone. This would help to counteract the pressures of a negative situation.

Further aspects of the situation

SIX AT THE BEGINNING

Unless you can exert a positive influence on the situation, do not remain involved in it. Otherwise, any attempt you make to take action will set in motion a chain of unfortunate events. It is better to distance yourself and avoid the possibility of compromising yourself.

SIX IN THE SECOND PLACE

Be tolerant but without getting involved. For the time being, be content with keeping a low profile. If you can remain independent in mind and spirit at this time, success will be yours in the longer term.

SIX IN THE THIRD PLACE

If you try to do something beyond your capabilities, you will put yourself in a humiliating position. Do not use underhand methods to try and get the results you want. Such action will backfire on you.

NINE IN THE FOURTH PLACE

The time of stagnation is drawing to a close. You will be able to play a leading role in bringing about a change to new and quite different conditions. Do not allow selfish considerations to influence your judgment. Provided that your motives are beyond reproach, the outcome will be extremely successful.

NINE IN THE FIFTH PLACE

The good times are coming. You can be instrumental in bringing about a radical change for the better. But don’t assume that you are safely home and dry. There is still a possibility that things could go wrong. This can be avoided if you pay careful attention to detail. Take nothing for granted. Stand up for what you feel to be right. By making your position secure, you will be building solid foundations for your future well-being.

NINE AT THE TOP

Light appears at the end of the tunnel. The time of stagnation is ending. But change will not happen simply of its own accord. You must play an active part. When you see an opportunity to help get things moving, take it. You will have cause to celebrate.
