Controlling Your Resources

image

‘… one must have the courage to dare.’

Dostoevsky, Crime and Punishment

A great deal is possible now. If you take the first steps, doors will begin to open for you. Identify all the resources you have at your disposal. You may have accumulated money, friends, knowledge, experience, particular abilities or qualities – the possibilities are endless. These are your assets. Now is the time to capitalize on them. Decide how you can best use them in order to accomplish your aims. If you have been putting off something which needs doing, get going. If you need information, gather it. Once you have made adequate preparations, take action. Do not hesitate to enlist the help you need. Be very productive. Stretch yourself beyond your current limits. Give the best of which you are capable. Be determined to make the most of each moment of each day. Once you have put your plans into action you must keep on top of things. If you are careless, you risk losing your momentum.

An opportunity for personal growth

However enthusiastic you feel, do not be impatient. Success depends on how well you control the resources at your disposal. Before rushing headlong into something, stop and consider the consequences. Learn to pace yourself. Stay focused on your aims. Organize your activities around achieving them. Do not allow yourself to be distracted by irrelevant issues. You must not fritter away time or assets. Do not hesitate to offer your services to others. You can make a significant contribution to your environment at this time. Make your presence felt. Keeping a low profile is not appropriate right now. If you have been holding back from involvement with a person or situation, drop your inhibitions. The more you give of yourself, the more energy you will generate.
