Gentle Influence

image

‘For the gentle wind does move Silently, invisibly.’

William Blake

You can influence the situation only in subtle ways at present. You must therefore be quite clear in your own mind exactly what it is you want. Keep this aim constantly in mind. For the time being, be content to remain in the background. From there you can exert a gentle but steady influence on the situation. Because this is a slow process you must be confident in your ability to achieve your aim. Be alert to any opportunity which will help to further your cause. Just as a tree sways in the wind, you must find a way of adapting to circumstances rather than struggling against them. Do not be aggressive or try to take control. Patience, flexibility and an open mind will help you to make the most intelligent use of circumstances.

An opportunity for personal growth

Your challenge here is to be clear about your intent. The mind is immensely powerful. If you have a strong intention to accomplish something and constantly channel your resources in that direction, sooner or later you will succeed. Doors will open to help you on your way. Opportunities for progress will mysteriously present themselves. You must be determined to make a long-term commitment and have the strength of mind to follow it through. And it is essential to believe in what you are doing. If you have doubts about whether your goal is worthwhile, your uncertainty will act as a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Further aspects of the situation

SIX AT THE BEGINNING

You must use your will-power. Refuse to be ruled by the doubts and fears which make you hesitant. Be single-minded. Make a decision and stick to it. It is a matter of self-discipline.

NINE IN THE SECOND PLACE

There are secret influences at work which are acting against you. They must be identified. Once they have been brought out into the light of day and examined, they will lose their power. Question your own motives and those of others. Look for hidden agendas. Get help with this if necessary.

NINE IN THE THIRD PLACE

You are right to weigh up the pros and cons of the matter. But you cannot hope to know in advance all the results of acting in a particular way. In the end you must come to a decision. The more you worry about the outcome, the less confident you will feel about taking action.

SIX IN THE FOURTH PLACE

Put doubt and hesitation behind you. It is time to take vigorous action. You will be extremely successful in getting what you need.

NINE IN THE FIFTH PLACE

A change for the better is indicated. Think carefully about what you propose to do. Once you have embarked upon a new course of action, keep a close eye on developments. Allow time for a transition period. When you can see the situation improving, you can be sure that you are on the right track.

NINE AT THE TOP

You have delved far enough into all the whys and wherefores of the situation. If you go any further with this, you will have no energy left to actually do anything about it. Make the best decision you can and proceed to act on it.
