Obstacles Fade Away

image

‘To err is human; to forgive, divine.’

Alexander Pope

Blockages to progress can now be removed. Areas of misunderstanding or uncertainty can be clarified. You must tackle any issues which keep you from communicating freely and sincerely with others. Nothing will be achieved until harmony is restored between people. Where there is antagonism in your environment, you must set about the process of reconciliation. Factions must be broken up. Be gentle and tactful. An over-assertive manner will serve only to harden other people’s defences. You are more likely to succeed if you bear in mind the wider picture. The truth is that your own well-being cannot be separated from that of other people. If one person suffers, all concerned are affected in some way. At the very deepest level, all are part of one human family. Do not be deceived into believing there is no such thing as society so that only the individual counts. To hold this view is short-sighted and indicates a lack of spiritual awareness.

An opportunity for personal growth

Before you can tackle obstructions in your outer environment you must first look at the emotional blockages which isolate you from others. If you are holding on to anger or resentment, bring them out into the open. Light needs to be shed on areas of darkness or confusion. Do not bear grudges. They create obstacles to further progress, whereas forgiveness clears the air and opens the way forward. Try to be flexible and appreciate other people’s point of view. Give up unrealistic expectations which nobody – least of all yourself – could possibly live up to. Have compassion, for yourself as well as others. Do not allow selfishness to prevail over love.

Further aspects of the situation

SIX AT THE BEGINNING

A conflict is beginning. Do not allow it to develop. Act promptly to reconcile the differences which have arisen. At this early stage the matter can be easily resolved.

NINE IN THE SECOND PLACE

A feeling of being alienated from others must not be allowed to develop any further. This unhealthy state of mind is damaging to your overall well-being. You must do something to help yourself recover your goodwill and sense of humour. Making an effort to help somebody else could do the trick.

SIX IN THE THIRD PLACE

Try to stop thinking in terms of your own self-interest. Aim to drop the defences which make you feel separate from others. Your fulfilment now lies in working for the benefit of all. It means putting aside all personal and selfish concerns. You will have no cause to regret this.

SIX IN THE FOURTH PLACE

You must rise above your own personal interests and prejudices. Great success will be the result of a commitment to working for the general well-being. Although this may take you out of your own immediate circle, you will receive a great deal of support.

NINE IN THE FIFTH PLACE

Matters are at a standstill. Take the initiative in helping to put things right. You have it in you to create a breakthrough. A completely new approach is needed. This will take every ounce of effort you can make plus all the resources at your disposal.

NINE AT THE TOP

Matters are at a crisis. You must protect both your own interests and those of people who depend on you. Do whatever you have to, even if this means leaving the situation altogether.
