This quick and easy scarf is a great way to practice Tunisian knit and purl stitches. Make it in colors that suit your coats and jackets or make several for different seasons.

MATERIALS

YARN: Lion Brand LB Collection Angora Merino, (80% extrafine Merino, 20% angora; 131 yd [120 m] per 1.75 oz [50 g]); #108 Blue Bonnet (A), #150 Smoked Pearl (B), #196 Sangria (C); 1 ball each.

HOOK: L-11 (8 mm) Tunisian hook or size needed to obtain gauge.

GAUGE

13 sts and 12 rows = 4" (10 cm).

FINISHED SIZE

6½" × 72" (16.5 × 183 cm).

NOTES

SCARF

With A, ch 21.

FOUNDATION ROW: Work basic foundation row (see Glossary).

ROW 1: Work 4 Tks, work 3 Tps, work 5 Tks, work 3 Tps, work 4 Tks, draw up lp in last bar.

Rep Row 1 until work measures 24", change to B.

Rep Row 1 with B until work measures 48", change to C.

Rep Row 1 with C until work measures 72".

LAST ROW: Inserting hook to match patt, work Tslst in each st across. Fasten off. Weave in loose ends. Block as desired.
