Day 7
So, as I was saying! I always loved helping people, giving them a hand, supporting those in need. This has been a principle of mine since I was a little kid. My brother always tells me the story of when we both started playing the game, several years ago.
4 years ago: We ran into an old lady in the woods who was trying to find her way home. She had lost herself after leaving her house to get food, and now she couldn’t find her way back home. It’s a normal thing for new players, considering how big this world is I thought about her getting lost.
- “Don’t worry, mam, I’ve got your back!” I said.
- “Brother, are you sure? It’s almost dark, and we really need to get going!” My brother said.
- “But we can’t leave this nice lady behind, Dylan! She needs our help!” I said.
- “Gosh, Angie! Why are you always so helpful? Okay then.” My brother said.
- “So, madam, where is your house located?” I asked her.
- “Thank you so much for the help, my dear boys! I live in a humble hut in front of a shallow lake. There’s a swamp nearby and also a desert behind the lake.
- “Okay then, let’s take a look around!”
The three of us spent the night looking for her house. We built a staircase to get a better view from the area but it was hard to spot anything in the dark. Still, I kept going on and it was almost night time when we found the house.
- “There it is! It’s my hut!” The lady said. “Thank you so much for the help, young men!” She said.
- “It was our pleasure, mam.” I said.
- “Now let’s go, I am too tired.” My brother said.
- “Before you go, please take this as a reward for your efforts.” The lady said, handing out a few potions.
- “Woah, these potions are super rare! How can you brew them?” I asked her.
- “Well my boy, I am a Witch. I can easily brew any potion I want!”
My brother opened his eyes wide and grabbed my left arm.
- “O-Okay then, thanks for the gift, now let’s get going Angie because we’ve got an appointment!” Dylan said, and we quickly left the scene.
- “What’s the matter, Dylan? Why are you in such a hurry?” I asked him.
- “Angie, that lady was a Witch! A WITCH! And you just stand there, like it’s no big deal?” He asked me. “Witches are dangerous! They can attack you with all types of potions!”
- “Relax, Dylan. I know she’s a Witch, she just told us! But we helped her find her home, why would she be upset? Besides, she gave us some rare potions!” I said.
- “Angie, you’re just too naïve when it comes to helping others. I’m telling you brother, you should be more careful with that.” Dylan said.
At that time I didn’t know, but I was being observed by them as well. In fact, I think that was the very first time I caught their attention. And after a few years doing great actions for others, they decided to invite me.
“Whose ‘they’ I’m talking about?” you might ask. Oh wow, be patient my diary!
