CHOOSE TO MOVE!
Exercise is not only good for your body – it’s good for your mind too! Getting out and moving your body releases serotonin, the ‘happy hormone’, which is both a mood booster and a stress buster. Running is a great exercise to get tension out of your system, and the rhythm of your feet on the pavement can be therapeutic. If you’d prefer something gentler, swimming has a soothing rhythm to it as well, and in focusing on your strokes you can lull yourself into a calmer mindset. Even something as simple as walking is beneficial and easy to incorporate into your day. Try walking to work or taking a 20-minute stroll in your lunch break, for instance. However you choose to move, being more active will help you to relax in your downtime, sleep better and increase positivity, all of which will ultimately help you feel calmer.
Running really helps me clear my head and makes me feel good, especially when I’m stressed.
I GO TO NATURE TO BE SOOTHED AND HEALED, AND TO HAVE MY SENSES PUT IN ORDER.
