ONE THING AT A TIME

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, choose one thing from your to-do list and focus your whole attention on it. Ignore any interruptions – whether that’s by turning off email notifications, switching off your phone or taking yourself into another room. No matter how many other things you have to do, don’t begin another task until you’ve finished what you started. By giving yourself space and time, and by completing the job, you will regain your sense of control.
