Important topics include electrolyte disorders, acid-base derangements, glomerular disorders (including histopathology), kidney failure, urine casts, diuretics, ACE inhibitors, and AT-II receptor blockers. Renal anomalies linked to various congenital defects is also a high-yield association to think about when you encounter pediatric vignettes.
