The Yoga information in this book is inspired by the teachings of T. K. V. Desikachar of Chennai (formerly Madras), India. He and his father, the late Professor T. Krishna-macharya, developed the style of Yoga known as Viniyoga. This style emphasizes practicing postures, breathing, and meditation according to your individual needs and capacity, as opposed to achieving ideal external form.
