You must be the change you wish to see in the world.

Volunteer your time.
Make the world a better place.
We are at a real turning point for this nation. We will either become stronger, as we work together for compassion, freedom, and equality to overcome this government’s evil machinations, or we will be dragged toward a much worse America. I think it is as simple as where people put their time; the side with the most hours will win.
To be a part of the Resistance means to be an activist. To be an activist means to take action. What better way to take action than by volunteering your time for a worthy cause? In a world where many of the problems we see are caused because everything is run for profit, nonprofit organizations bring balance to the picture. There are nonprofits working to feed and clothe the homeless, nonprofits working to provide literacy, education, advocacy, and opportunities to poor children. You can volunteer with programs that teach kids how to play an instrument, or play soccer, or chess, or just be there as a positive role model. There are great programs that provide reading materials to people in jails. There are nonprofits that work to teach yoga to prisoners, nonprofits that train service dogs for war veterans. The possibilities are endless. Sometimes simple is best, and your local churches, soup kitchens, libraries, and after-school programs are likely looking for volunteers right now.
Here are a dozen resources to get you started. With a little research, you’ll find many more local groups in your town or city seeking volunteers right now.
