Pycom's LoPy and, more recently, LoPy 4 offer the same features as the WiPy with the addition of LoRa connectivity:
External antennas may be added for Wi-Fi, Lora, and Sigfox (LoPy 4). It is recommended that an antenna be used for LoRa and Sigfox to avoid damaging the microcontroller.
Similar to the WiPy, LoPy/LoPy 4 has a built-in RGB LED for quick testing of code. LoPy/LoPy 4, like the WiPy, does not come with a built-in USB port and must be programmed through either an extension board, an FTDI adapter, or FTP. Not having a USB connection may seem like a hassle at first; however, this keeps the microcontroller small, lightweight, and ready for production. The use of a USB port is only required in the development stage.
