Right now, consider God’s power and His ability to act in your child’s life:
O Lord God,
There is none like You in heaven above or on earth below. You are a God of mercy and a keeper of promises. Not even heaven or the heaven of heavens can contain You. Yet You listen to Your servants who pray before You day and night.
Now, please hear in heaven, Your dwelling place, and when You hear, forgive; for there is no one who does not sin.
Send forth Your mercy toward my child. When he experiences famine in his life, pestilence or blight or mildew; when the enemy besieges him; whatever plague or sickness there is, teach him to know the plague of his own heart, to spread out his hands toward You, and to seek Your forgiveness.
Grant him Your compassion. Teach him the good way in which he should walk, and incline his heart to Yourself, to walk in all Your ways and to keep Your commands. Let his heart be loyal to You, the Lord my God, to walk in Your statutes.
May Your eyes be open to the supplication of your servant, and Your ears open to my cry.
