CALL MY BLUFF
LEFT AND RIGHT
WHO REALLY SAID THAT?
PREPARATION
Players sit or stand in a circle.
OBJECTIVE
One player in each round makes the ultimate decision on which two-word phrase to use and tries to fool others in the game with help from the players on his or her left and right. Guessers do their best to figure it out!
GAME TIME
Player 1 asks the player to his left and the player to his right, one at a time, to whisper a two-word phrase in his ear. (Any two words will do, and they don’t have to actually go together or make any sense.)
Player 1 then decides if he is going to use one of their phrases or come up with one of his own.
NOTE: When you are sitting to the left or right of the player leading the round (Player 1 for the first round) and are being asked to come up with a two-word phrase, the key is to come up with two words nobody would ever think you said. At the same time, if Player 1 decides not to use either phrase provided to him from his left or right, he must come up with a new one that other players will believe is something the player to the left or right might say.
Once Player 1 makes the decision, he says the two-word phrase out loud to the rest of the players. The other players must now decide who came up with that phrase. Was it Player 1 or one of the players to his left or right? Everyone reveals their answer at once by pointing to the player they select, and all players tally their points. Play continues as Player 2 gets phrases from the players to her left and right, and so on.
SCORING
Players earn points if they are able to fool the other players. The player who leads the round and the players to his or her left and right each get 1 point for every player who is fooled. If a player guesses correctly, he or she earns 2 points.
