THAT’S MY PLAN, AND
I’M STICKING TO IT!
FIND ALL THREE!
HAVE FUN WITH A STORY ABOUT PEOPLE IN YOUR GROUP.
PREPARATION
Each player has the task of making up a story about two people in the group. Choose any two people. The story should really only be one or two sentences and must be no more than thirty words long.
IMPORTANT: The story cannot be something personal between two people in the group or a private joke that only a few people in the group know about. It should simply be a fresh, made-up story.
Once each player has written his or her story down, each player must choose three of the words from the story and cross out every letter but the first.
OBJECTIVE
Players take turns telling their made-up stories while the other players figure out the missing words in each story.
GAME TIME
Starting with Player 1, players take turns telling their stories. When players read their story to the group, they can only say the first letter of the three words they crossed out. The rest of the group will have to figure out what those words are.
Make the story as silly and fun as you like, but keep in mind the scoring.
SCORING
Players who are guessing the words earn 20 points if they get all three words right. They earn no points if they get even one word wrong.
The storyteller earns 50 total points if ONLY ONE player gets all three right. However, the storyteller loses 50 points if either everyone or no one guesses correctly. He or she earns 10 total points if more than one person gets it right.
TIP: The challenge of figuring out your three words can’t be too easy or too difficult! In either of those cases, you stand to lose a lot of points! For the maximum amount of points, you want only one person to figure it out.
EXAMPLE
Player 1’s story might go something like this: “Jack and Linda drove to the s---------- to buy h--------- and hot dogs for the barbecue. While driving there, Jack realized he forgot to wear p----.”
The three words missing from Player 1’s sentence are supermarket, hamburgers, and pants. Let’s say there are six players in the game. If only Player 2 guesses all three words correctly, Player 1 earns 50 points and Player 2 earns 20 points; the other players do not earn any points. If both Players 2 and 3 guess all three words correctly, then they each get 20 points and Player 1 gets only 10. If either everyone or nobody guessed all three words, Player 1 loses 50 points.
