WHAT’S MY FOUR-LETTER WORD?
BE THE FASTEST TO GUESS THE FOUR-LETTER WORD WITHOUT ANY WRITING!
OBJECTIVE
Players take turns giving clues for their four-letter words and try to be the first to guess the other players’ words.
GAME TIME
Player 1 thinks of a four-letter word and then comes up with four three-letter words which are clues to figuring out the four-letter word. Each three-letter word must contain one letter that is in the four-letter word. No writing allowed!
NOTE: The three-letter words don’t have to have anything to do with the four-letter word. The only requirement is that each of them contain one of the letters found in the four-letter word.
Player 1 gives the three-letter words in order, with the first letter of the four-letter word somewhere in the first clue, the second letter of the four-letter word somewhere in the second clue, and so on. The first player to guess the four-letter word wins the round and earns 1 point.
Play continues as Player 2 gives clues for her four-letter word, and so on.
SCORING (6+ PLAYERS)
With six or more players, players earn 1 point for guessing a four-letter word correctly, and the first player to earn 5 points wins.
SCORING (LESS THAN 6 PLAYERS)
With 3–5 players, the first player to earn 3 points wins. However, players who aren’t the first person to guess the word lose 1 point each time!
For example, if Player 4 guesses the first word from Player 1, she gets 1 point. If she guesses the next one from Player 2, she gets another point for a total of 2. She can now win the game with three points if she is the first to guess the next one from Player 3. However, if Player 5 guesses the next one from Player 3, then Player 5 gets 1 point and Player 4 loses a point and goes back to 1. If Player 2 guesses the next one, then both Player 4 and Player 5 go back to 0. (Players never go into negative points, though; they just stay at zero.)
IMPORTANT: When it is your turn to come up with a four-letter word and give clues, your current points freeze until after your turn.
