I’M PUZZLED!
CHOPPED-UP CELEBRITIES
JUST PUT ALL OF THE PEOPLE BACK TOGETHER — SIMPLE AS THAT!
PREPARATION
Draw a grid with six rows and six columns for a total of thirty-six boxes. Think of nine names (first and last) of well-known people, and make sure the first and last names are a combined eight letters or more. Write the names on slips of paper, then chop up each name into four pieces of at least two letters each. For example, the name Oprah Winfrey “chopped up” could have the following pieces:
1. OP
2. RAH
3. WIN
4. FREY
The name Quentin Tarantino chopped up could be:
1. QU
2. ENTI
3. NTARA
4. NTINO
Now take all of the thirty-six chopped-up pieces of all nine names and place them randomly in the thirty-six different squares in the grid.
GAME TIME
Players from each team must match up the pieces and figure out the nine famous people. The first team to put all the pieces back together, figuratively speaking, wins!
TIP: Nine names can be difficult, so you may want to start with four names using a grid of four rows and four columns with a total of sixteen boxes. Then graduate to the bigger grid!
