A NOTE ON LINEAGE

In 1936 King Edward VIII brought to the establishment his intentions to marry a young American divorcée. This request would be rejected, and this rejection would lead to Edward VIII’s abdication of the throne. But what if this had never happened? What if Edward had allowed the establishment to find him a wife who suited their purposes? While this present Royal Family carry the name Windsor and occupy the same residences, they are born of this divergent timeline.
