The title says it all. It is a glass full of bliss! This creamy banana cinnamon smoothie is a perfect preworkout drink. The dates will give you a great energy boost, while the fat in the almond butter will slowly release the sugars from the banana. This smoothie is on the lighter side but is bursting with healthy nutrients, like potassium, fiber, magnesium, and calcium. The almond milk is rich in vitamins and minerals, especially vitamin E. Cinnamon is loaded with antioxidants, too. So whether you are about to work out or not, pour yourself a glass to start your day!
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
⅓ cup water
1 frozen banana
1 Tbsp. almond butter
2 pitted dates (preferably Medjool)
½ tsp. vanilla extract
¼ tsp. cinnamon
Pinch of Himalayan pink salt
4 ice cubes
1 Place ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend until smooth.
Try adding a little cardamom to vary the taste.
