A morphine overdose was to end the life of this notorious aristocrat
t is not widely known that the end of the story of one of the most intriguing and celebrated murder cases of the twentieth century happened in Liverpool at the grand and stylish Adelphi Hotel in 1942. It was there that Sir Jock Delves Broughton took his own life. The story was that of the murder of Lord Errol in Kenya in 1941, whose body was found in a car in January of that year, with a bullet lodged in his brain.
