Despair

Here I am again, Lord,

Asking for a hand,

With heart so heavy, mind so drear;

I find it hard to stand.

Things here just get so tiring,

I try so hard to do

The chores that need attention most;

I do it all for You.

But plans get thwarted, efforts slammed;

It’s frustrating at best.

And then to know, come nightfall,

There still will be no rest.

I know that You can fix it, Lord,

Please help me as You will.

And I’ll just keep on keeping on

Until my heart You still.

“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

—Heb. 4:16 (NKJV)
