Finding My Way

Reel me back in, Lord,

I’ve drifted too far

From the Rock that sustains me each day.

The cares of the world have pulled me afield

Without You, I can’t find my way.

I want to be found in the cleft of the Rock;

Feel the strength and the love of Your arm.

Need to feel Your calm reassurance;

You’re with me through all that can harm.

Thank You, dear Jesus, for being right there

When I cry out to You with my sin.

Thank You for knowing the thoughts of my heart

And for giving me Your peace within.

“Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.”

—Ps. 42:5 (NIV)
