At the time I penned this verse, I was facing a surgery about which I was not entirely at peace. Silly me! All I had to do was commit it to Him and let Him lead.
Lord, I do not know the answer
To the question puzzling me,
So I rest upon Your promise;
You’ll be with me, help me see.
I don’t want to have the surgery
The doctors say I need.
I guess I’m fearful it won’t help
Or, worse yet, it may lead
To further problems with my health
Or make me less than strong.
I need to be full of Your strength
To be where I belong.
“Where I belong”? What’s wrong with me?
I’m not the one to say.
What I shall do, where I shall go,
Or where my head should lay.
I give it all to You, Lord
It’s all within Your hands.
Just lead me, guide me as You wish,
Your plan is my command.
Every year, every month, every day, every hour, every minute,
I pray to be guided by Your Providence.
“A man’s heart plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps.”
Prov. 16:9 (NKJV)
