“Hearken to My voice,” God says.
I say, “When I have time.”
“No, hearken to My voice,” He says,
“It’s now; your time is Mine.
I’ve things that need your doing;
Things that need your touch.
They’re needed for My glory;
I do not ask too much.”
“But what about my work, Lord?
And my dear family, too?
The day-to-day things that require
My time and strength to do?
I want to do Your bidding,
Give You my life to guide,
But somehow things get in the way
Of staying at Your side.”
“If you’ll just trust in Me, my child,
And if My will you’ll do,
The earthly problems will resolve
As I take care of you.”
“So, as the Holy Spirit says: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in rebellion.”
