Still, amongst all this tragedy, it is even more tragic what happened to our great leader. The Fuhrer, a hero of Olympian stature, who had acted so honorably to his fellowmen, with his empathy and compassion for the Jews, joined his brothers in whatever heaven they are all entered, by taking his life, and that of his wife Eva, with his own hand.
And now, as I write this, when the new century dawns, after so many years of trying to understand, I still do not understand WHY the Jews suicided themselves. Even less, do I understand why there are those who blame the Fuhrer and the German people for what happened to the Jews.
They came to their new nation willingly. They rejoiced at their hope from freedom from their oppressors. We have the proof. The photographs. The films. Their words. Their god abandoned them. They did it to themselves. No one else. My father was there. He knew. He saw. He wept. And he told the truth. And now I have told you the truth.
