ABOUT THE CO-AUTHORS

Darryl Kehrer is the former Public Policy Officer, Montgomery Center for America’s Veterans, Mississippi State University. He concluded 37 years of public service in 2005 as staff director, Subcommittee on Economic Opportunity, Committee on Veterans’Affairs, U.S. House of Representatives. He formerly served as Executive Director, Congressional Veterans Claims Adjudication Commission; and as Panel Staff Director, Congressional Commission on Servicemembers and Veterans Transition Assistance. Kehrer is a 1992 Woodrow Wilson Public Service Fellow representing the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Michael McGrevey LTC, USAF (Ret) is President, JBHM Education Group, Jackson, Mississippi. He is former Chief of Staff and Vice President for Finance and Administration, Mississippi State University, where he co-founded the Montgomery Center for America’s Veterans. McGrevey served as President of The Montgomery Institute, a non-profit economic and leadership development firm in Meridian, Mississippi, and is a founding board member of Friends of Veterans of Mississippi. He is a Phi Kappa Phi member and an Eagle Scout.
