ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

There are so many people I want to thank for making this book possible.

First, the biggest thanks goes out to my husband who is my greatest fan. At least, that what he tells me! He supports and encourages me throughout each project. He listens to me rant about plotting issues and cheers with me when I find my way over stumbling blocks. And he makes sure I'm fed when I get so busy that I forget to eat. I love him to the moon and back, infinity times.

I want to thank family and friends who supported me through this project. They never doubted that I could successfully transition from romance to thrillers and have cheered me on all the way.

I want to thank my production team: editor, Lucy Felthouse; proofreader, Jessica Corra; and Cora at Cora Graphics for creating the perfect cover for this book and set the theme for the series.

And, of course, a huge thank you goes out to my cover model, Rocco Benedetto, lead singer for Oraillegale – www.oraillegaleligabue.it. Ladies, if you haven't heard him sing, rush to his website and check out his videos. Trust me on this!

A very special thanks goes out to sensitivity reader, Elyssa Bolt. She was encouraging and supportive of the LGBTQ elements of my story, and she offered positive suggestions where I could tighten up. I can't thank her enough!

Also a big thanks to Kate Welch who gave me the name for one of my characters, Ginnifer/Ginnie. I was looking for something that stood out as unique and Kate came through with flying colors!

I can't close this without recognizing the help and support from two fantastic guys:

Detective Adam Richardson who runs the Writers Detective Bureau. Adam is a technical consultant for writers and screenwriters, and he runs a weekly podcast where he answers writers' questions. The podcast is linked from his website at Writer’s Detective – www.writersdetective.com. You can join his group on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/groups/writersdetective

Retired police sergeant for the City of Milwaukee, Patrick O'Donnell, who runs Cops and Writers. Patrick has published two books for writers that focus on police procedure to give crime writers' books street cred. Check out the Cops and Writers series where you normally buy books. Finally, to my readers: To my new readers, thank you for giving my books a chance. And to those following me over to thrillers . . . welcome to the dark side!
