Chapter 29

Dear God,

I can’t believe I met my biological mom today. Even though it’s not quite a fairy tale, thank you that she decided to go through with the pregnancy and made sure I had a good home to go to. Help me to forgive all of them for the choices they made. Even Dad. I’m sure if he were here, I would be mad at him too. Thank you that the truth is coming out now. Help me to know what to do about the kidney stuff. I don’t even know where to begin. Is this why you had me meet her now—to give her a kidney? I’m going to have a lot of thinking to do after this. Thank you that Shyla is friendly and has become a support through all this. I want to document it for posterity: Today is The First Time I Met My Birth Mother.
