Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people both now and forevermore.
—PSALM 125:1–2
THIS VERSE HAS been made into one of my favorite songs. It asks for God to surround his people because we need to be in His presence. This is very comforting to sing and praise God with. Just knowing that God, the Creator of everything, has us, His people, in His presence. His love, His grace, His power, His strength, His forgiveness, His holiness, and His righteousness are all surrounding us and making us like Mount Zion—unshakable.
Prayer
Father, we don’t know the words to say that will allow You to know how blessed we feel because You love us, forgive us, and surround us with Your glory. Please, Father, listen to our hearts and know that we are asking to be in Your presence every day and that we yearn to be surrounded by You. In Jesus’ holy name, amen.
