Our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.

THE KEY WORD in this verse is “eagerly.” As we wait on our Savior to return for us, it is important to remain eager. We must be eager to spread the gospel of Jesus. We must be eager to help and love others. We must be eager to go to God in prayer. We must be eager to serve Him in any capacity. It is very easy to become lackadaisical in our Christian walk and let the status quo be good enough. I know I am guilty of this from time to time, as I am sure we all are. But I like to keep this word in my mind and use it as a frequent reminder to be eager to serve Him.
Prayer
Father, help me stay eager as I serve You and spread the message of Your love for all of us.
