SOMETIMES WE FEEL like the pressures and challenges of life just might swallow us up. But this verse promises that we will not be “consumed.” Why? Because of the Lord’s great love for us. What a comforting concept to know that every morning when we wake up, the mercies of our Lord have been refreshed in our lives. How wonderful to know that His compassions never fail. Just repeating this verse to myself instantly calms my spirit and gives me new strength. The Lord’s power never diminishes in its ability to cleanse, heal, forgive, and renew. How blessed are we!
Prayer
Father, we are grateful for this new morning and pray for refreshing and cleansing as we face this day. May we face the opportunities of this day with confidence and the knowledge of Your unending love for us. We pray this through Jesus, with the help of Your Spirit, amen.
