21Of the making of books about postmodernity there is no end! But three accessible and helpful ones (for me) have been Gene Veith, Post-Modern Times (Wheaton: Crossway, 1994), Stanley Grenz, A Primer on Postmodernism (Grand Rapids: Eerdmans, 1996), and Richard Lints, “The Theological Present,” in his The Fabric of Theology (Grand Rapids: Eerdmans, 1993). In tone of voice, Veith is more negative, Grenz is more positive, and Lints is more scholarly. Together they give a good overview without taking too much time.
