64I must admit that Calvin and the Reformers did not give the following “tests” as much emphasis and development as they deserved. I believe, though, that these tests are implicit in the Reformed tradition that Calvin left us. That is why other Reformed theologians have taught these to us. I think it is therefore fair to include these tests as part of the historic Reformed tradition of worship that Calvin left us. But because I am not able to cite him very much in this section, I will be fairly brief.
