How to Wear Necklaces
The key to successful neck accessorizing is to avoid a competition between the garment’s neckline and the necklace itself. They should peacefully coexist. No confusion over where one starts and one ends. No fighting for attention. No getting tangled up in each other.
LET ME SHOW YOU SOME EXAMPLES:
Long chains work well with a high neckline.
Pendants tend to work well with V-necks. They should hang so as to evenly fill the triangle of skin created by the dress or blouse. Round chains and multistrand necklaces can also work here, provided they don’t sloppily overlap the V.
Round chains work well with square necklines, as do bold-statement necklaces.
A scoop neck takes a round chain or several layered chains nicely.
