Pia Kennedy

Flame drove his friend’s car to my home, and I drove mine. There was no way his insane ass was riding with me. I thought that he was going to go to his house to cool off, but when I parked in my driveway, he was right behind me. He was definitely going to be on some bullshit tonight and so was I. I didn’t know who that raggedy butch was or why she was at his damn house, but I was going to find out. I dint even know that he was out of jail so aside from that I felt like I was being ambushed.

I stormed into the house closing the front door right in his face. I didn’t even care that he had just embarrassed the hell out of me in front of all the people, but I was more furious about the little arm candy that he was sporting.

“Aye P, remember I’m home now, so you can stop trying me with all of that slick shit,” he said, walking into the house.

By now, I had downed two shots in the kitchen and I was waiting for him so we could get some things straight.

He walked into the kitchen without saying a word, only staring like he was stupid.

“Okay, so first question. Why didn’t I know that you were home? Matter fact when did you even get out?” I flung my hands in the air hoping that it would emphasize my point.

He shook his head, “I just came home today and how was I supposed to tell you when you was not answering my calls and hadn’t even been to see me? That shit was foul as hell!”

“Well, I don’t recall missing any calls, but when I came to see your ass you took me off your visit list.”

Flame’s eyes busked as if what I was saying was from far away land.

“Don’t look like that nigga, speak!” I snapped.

He laughed how he always did when he was trying to control his anger.

“I didn’t refuse no fucking visit, so I don’t know where you got that from.”

“Well If you didn’t, who did? When I got up there, they turned me around.”

He looked to be in deep thought and then his head dropped as if whatever he was searching for came to him.

“This shit crazy. I didn’t your visit, but I think I know who did.”

“Ohhhokayy,” I said waiting for him to spit it out.

“It had to have been Stephany, my lawyer.”

“Ohhhhhh, which brings me to my second question. WHAT THE HELL WAS BECKY WITH THE GOOD HAIR DOING AT YOU HOUSE? WHAT WAS SHE DOING WITH YOU PERIOD?”

“Man, you want to play twenty-one questions with me like I didn’t have to practically just drag your from your little car washing friend.”

“So, this is what we’re going to do? Just turn all of this on me because your shit stinks? I was doing exactly what I was supposed to be doing at a car wash, GETTING MY CAR WASHED DUMB DUMB! I don’t know what you think you saw, but maybe it was your guilty conscious kicking in. My boyfriend gets out of jail and I’m the last to know. You know my number and address so don’t even act like you was even checking for me!” I was heated and on a roll.

“Okay, I’m going to let you get your shit off. Keep it up,” he tossed idle threats.

“So, answer my question. What was Becky doing at your house!”

“I told you before, she is my lawyer, the one I told you about. She scooped a nigga from the yard because my girl couldn’t,” he made sure to throw that part in as if he had even given me a choice to pick him up.

“She asked me if she could drive me around for the day and that was that,” he said nonchalantly as if any of what he was saying was right on his part.

“Okay, so get to the point where y’all went to your house.”

He let out a sigh, “I took a shower and she waited for me. ain’t much to tell and then we rolled out.”

“This is unbelievable,” I said, while trying not to cry and looking up at the ceiling.

“Did you have sex with her?” I asked lowly.

“Pia come on,” his tone was now softer and he rushed over to me. “I ain’t touch that girl let alone fuck her.”

“And how and I supposed to believe that the way she was acting tonight?”

“And I straightened her right? Nothing happened bae.”

“Don’t call me that,” I said backing away from him. I didn’t trust a thing that he was saying, and I still couldn’t get over me not even knowing that he was a free man.

“P, I’m going to keep it a humid with you because I don’t have shit to hide. I could’ve fucked her if I wanted to, but I didn’t take it there with her. She was throwing me little vibes all day, but I wasn’t on that type of time. She did try to kiss me, but I cut that off too, because of you. Even if we were on bad terms, I couldn’t do you like that.”

Silence floated in the air between us and I didn’t know if I was on the verge of tears or wanted to accept the bullshit that he was feeding me.

“Get out Flame,” I said, lowly.

“What?” he asked, caught off guard.

“I said get out!” This time he heard me much more clearly.

“Pia, you know I’m not leaving this fucking house. I didn’t fuck that girl, nor am I into her and I will never be.”

“I don’t believe you; I mean look at the way I had to find out. If the script was flipped an I was riding around with random guy, letting you know that they wanted to fuck me and all that. I don’t think that you would be as calm as I am now.”

“Bae, I will fire the bitch. I will never talk to her again,” he was pleading with me now and that macho man act that he carried on was not there anymore.

I looked at him with my head tilted not really knowing what to say. More than anything I was embarrassed.

“Flame, I hear all that you are saying, but I would still like for you to leave. “

“I can do that, because I fucked up, but Pia we are going to be together forever. Believe that,” he pecked my lips and then he left.
