“So, you have five now ? Y’all haven’t been playing any games,” I said, to the customer that was in my chair. Him and his girl was on baby number five to my zero.
“Yeah, man she can’t keep her hands off me, but we are done at this one.”
“Man, you said that when y’all had Blix. I hear you though,” I laughed.
“What about you though? You want kids?” he asked me, and I really had to think about that question.
Sometimes I thought that I was just way too fucked up from my childhood to raise a kid. I would hate to turn into anything relatively close to the Baptist and fuck a kid up. For me, it wouldn’t be no kids today tomorrow or the day after that. I was focused on my money and that’s about it
“Man, I’m good on that for now, don’t be trying to put nothing on me bruh. I’m clean,” I joked.
“And you and the shorty I saw you with good?” Kassidy had to have been talking about Elle. We had bumped into him a while back.
“Man, I don’t even really know what to say about that. She is doing her and I’m doing me.”
“Oh word. Don’t sweat that shit though. You know how many times me and Bliss was doing us?” he air quoted the doing us part.
“Them make up to break up’s make you really see what is important and if that person is really down for you. I can tell that you like her from the way your mood changed when I asked you about her. Play that shit how it goes, anything worth having is worth fighting for. Hell! My girl accepted me back after I faked my own death,” he joked and shook his head.
I thought about what he said and wondered if Elle showed back in my life today could I accept the fact that she just up and left me. I would definitely have to choke her as up first, but I feel like things would never be the same between us. And the way that little message that her sister gave me when I was at their house let me know that she had some things that she was hiding from me, but could I really be mad at her for that? I definitely had some things about myself that I hadn’t told her, so did that make us even? Were we both wrong for our secrets and the things that we chose to be untruthful about.
HELL NAW ! her ass just up and eft so as far as I was concerned, the water she was holding was a whole lot worse than and now her ass was playing ghost so I would be Tommy.
I finished Kassidy up and chopped it up with him as usual like we did when we got together. He was a little bit older than me so he always looked out and dropped jewels on me when he could.
“Aite bruh, I’m going to go ahead and get up on out of here,” he said, to me as we dapped me up.
“Stay up bro and send Bliss and the kids my love,” I said, and Kassidy beamed at just the mention of his family before walking out.
No soon as he walked out Flame walked in, swaggering in late as usual knowing that he had two clients already waiting on him. Everyone being back at the shop as a good feeling. The only person missing was Kiyan because he was at the hospital.
Flame hugged Iggy and I before going to sit at his chair. This man had people waiting, but he was not acting like it. One day these customers were going to whip his ss.
“What’s up with you? Who shot your dog?” I asked, Flame noticing his somber mood.
He wiped his hand across his face and sighed. “Females, why must they be so stressful?”
“What have you did now?” Iggy asked, already knowing that Flame had a story to tell.
“I didn’t do anything Father time. Pia just in her feelings right now and y’all know that’s not a good place to be.”
“Boy, you haven’t even been out for twenty-four hours yet, and I thought you said that you weren’t fucking with Pia,” I put him on the spot.
“Man, y’all know that detailing shop on Military highway? Well yesterday the lawyer Jank took be there and low and behold, I see Pia. Long story short, she was pissed that I was even with Stephany and Stephany was doing some weird shit, acting like it was more than what it was between me and her Shit was bogus as hell.”
“And why do you think she feels that way?” Iggy asked sarcastically. “You was letting that girl drive you around and to her that meant something totally different than what it meant to you.”
“Shit crazy and now Pia is mad put me out her crib and everything.”
I laughed. “That is what you get.”
“Man, I didn’t even do anything for real this time. I could be mad at her ass, when I got there, she was laughing in some niggas face. I let that shit go though because I’m an adult.”
Iggy and I both started laughing. This man claimed Pia was in her feeling but I’m sure they may have crossed each other’s paths because he was in his too.
“So, what you gone do now?” Iggy asked.
“Shit, I’m cooling.”
Just as he said that, the bell chimed signaling someone was walking I to the shop and it was Pia. She whizzed by us so fast that I had to do a double take to see if she had even walked by. Meanwhile, Flame was all in her face and she rolled her eyes in his direction before going to her back room.
“Dayyyuuumm! Yeah, she is mad-mad son,” I commented.
“Yeah, and her mad ass will be okay. I might go get her a bracelet or something,” he said nonchalantly.
“A bracelet!” Iggy and I said simultaneously.
“Yeah ice her out a little bit. That should help. Female love ice. Isn’t that what that bitch Kash Doll keep screaming about, her needing to be iced out.”
I ignored what he was saying and made my way to the bathroom in the back. I noticed that Pia’s door was half way open and she was whispering. Not one to be a nosey ass nigga, I kept to where I was going until I heard her say Elle’s name. I put my ear to her half close door and listened.
“Well, I’m glad that you are doing okay, but you need to come back,” I heard her say.
“Elle, I know that damn well you don’t want to spend the rest of your life in Ohio.”
That shit almost took me out. Elle was in Ohio, but for what? I ease dropped on the rest of the conversation which didn’t last that long and it consisted of the two of them going back and forth. Little did Elle know, but she would be seeing me and soon!
