This is a solo album from trumpet player for P-Funk Bennie Cowan. Along with Greg Thomas, Michael Clip Payne, and Lige Curry, Cowan has one of the longest tenures in P-Funk history (tenure: 1978–1986, 1989–present). He makes up one-third of the P-Funk Horns, also known as the Baltimore Connection (along with saxophonist Greg Thomas and trombonist Greg Boyer), who all appear on this album, along with Bennie’s son Benzel, the current drummer for P-Funk; George Clinton; Kendra Foster; and others.
