Part 2
PRACTICES
The following Yoga practices balance, purify and remove energy blockages in the nāḍīs and all the chakras, preparing the way for deep meditation. When the body is released from tension, the mind freed from restlessness, the nāḍīs purified and the prāṇa balanced, then the chakras will open, allowing the energy in the spine to rise to the higher chakras.
Guidelines before you Practise
• Always practise on an empty stomach – allow at least 3–4 hours after eating a meal before you begin.
• Practise in a clean, quiet and peaceful room or environment where you will not be disturbed.
• Wear loose comfortable clothing to do your practice.
