About the Author

Award-winning writer Jane Myers Perrine has worked as a Spanish teacher, minister, cook, rifle instructor, program director in a state hospital, and been an active volunteer, but she always wanted to write. Finally, she found time and has since published books with Avalon Books and Steeple Hill Love Inspired. Her short pieces have appeared in the Houston Chronicle and Woman’s World magazine. In 1999, she was nominated for a Golden Heart from Romance Writers of America for The Mad Herringtons.

She wrote a three-book series for FaithWords, a division of The Hachette Book Group, about a young minister in the small town of Butternut Creek in the beautiful Hill Country of Texas. The first book in the series, The Welcome Committee of Butternut Creek, was nominated for the prestigious RITA in 2013. She likes small towns, warm, friendly people and humor.

With her minister husband George, she landed in the South after living many years in cold areas of the country. They decided to give up changing seasons for no snow and have never regretted that choice. She now lives north of Austin, where her life is controlled by two incredibly spoiled tuxedo cats. She’s currently working on a new series that takes place in small town Kentucky.
